The Arbfirm team came today to do some maintenance pruning, plus remove a large dangerously hanging limb that had broken off on a mature lemon scented gum in our back yard. We can’t speak highly enough of them. Professional, prompt, well priced, polite and friendly — they’ve got it all! They did a great job and even left the yard sparkling clean. Big shout out and highly recommend the Arbfirm team.

The gang arrived right on time and immediately set to work. They kept me informed and were careful of the surroundings. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. All for a very reasonable fee. Very satisfied customer.

Why trees need a regular check

Skipped Pruning Shows Up as Broken Branches

Overgrown or poorly structured trees rub on roofs, shade solar panels, and shed debris into gutters. Interior deadwood and weak attachments fail in gusts common on Hills ridges.

How we plan every cut

Tree Pruning Matched to Species and Goal

We specify reduction, thinning, deadwood removal, or formative pruning based on species and your goals. Every cut ties back to safety, clearance, or long-term tree health.

What your pruning visit looks like

Three Steps to a Healthier Canopy at Home

Same simple process whether you’re in the Perth Hills or wider Perth metro—we plan first, then execute safely.

Consultation

We walk the tree with you and note clearance targets, risks, and any council or strata requirements.

Pruning plan

You receive a quote that states techniques and approximate removal volumes—not vague ‘tidy up’ language.

Execution

Cuts follow Australian pruning practice; we balance aesthetics with biology and safety.

Powerline clearance

Vegetation near electrical infrastructure must respect minimum approach distances. We identify conductors, plan pruning or removal so crews stay safe, and tell you clearly when Western Power or an authorised contractor must isolate lines or carry out authorised work—we then complete ground-level tidy-up and any follow-up pruning in scope.

What overgrown trees cost you

Untouched Trees Cost More to Bring Back

Skipping scheduled pruning tends to mean:

  • Encroachment on structures and neighbour boundaries
  • More costly corrective work after storm damage
  • Pests and decay gaining a foothold in rubbing or torn branches
  • Reduced property appeal before sale or lease

Common questions before pruning

What to Know Before You Book Tree Pruning

How often should trees be pruned?

It depends on species, exposure, and targets. Many urban trees benefit from an inspection every one to three years.

Do you offer tree pruning near me?

We work across Perth Hills suburbs and the wider metro. Send your address for scheduling.

Can you prune for powerline clearance?

We assess minimum approach distances. Only authorised personnel may work within certain zones near live conductors—we coordinate or refer when required.

Who is responsible for trees near street powerlines?

It depends on the asset—property, council, or network. We help interpret what applies once we have inspected the site.

Do you follow Western Power rules?

Yes. We align our methodology with safe approach practice and documented network requirements.
